Great Example Of An Informative Speech
by: Brian

Great job Catherine!

1. You took a complex, technical subject and boiled it down to three main points.
2. You explained jargon when it appeared.
3. You related your content to the audience's interests - for example when you explained that children would not have to sit a public exam as they do in the UK.
4. You kept your slides quite simple.
5. The quiz at the end was good. It could be even more powerful at the start. Always good to get the audience laughing in the first few moments!
6. You summarized your three main points at the end, which was a good re-cap.
7. You spoke without notes. Quite an achievement given the level of detail you were required to get across. Well done.
8. Your stance and movements were kept to a minimum and therefore didn't distract from your message in any way.
9. Overall what I liked most about your speech was your accuracy and your obvious concern for the audience. You obviousdly thought a lot about how to get your information across accurately but in an easily understood way, and it showed. Thanks.
